LinkScanner is an antivirus program that will check every link you visit.
This program works in two ways: it installs a program onto your computer that you can invoke to scan for links with malicious content, and it installs an add-on into your Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers.
The stand-alone program will scan the AVG server for updates. It will also allow you to manually enter a URL that you want the program to check before visiting its site. If LinkScanner does not find anything dangerous, it will tell you about that, and will provide a link to visit the scanned site. Otherwise, it will warn you not to visit that site.
The browser add-on will check every site listed after a search in any search engine. It will mark good sites with a green star with a white check sign. You can visit those sites without any risk. For the sites marked with other signs, refer to the program´s guidelines. Through the settings you can customize the program´s appearance, language, warnings and connection parameters.
The installer will download files from AVG. You will need 102.1 Mb. of disk space to save them.
